'cause you can never really tell

My weekend: started writing my business plan for Australia, laughed and cried with OBF (Other Best Friend), caught up with FLiH (Friend Living in Houston) who was visiting for the weekend for dinner and drinks and then sat on my sofa today and had some time by myself - the first time it seemed in ages. My bipolarity was in full force, of course.

Stay - that's what I meant to say or do something
But what I never say is stay this time
I really meant to so bad this time
'Cause you can never really tell when somebody
Wants something you want too

Ziggy - I just watched Happy Endings and it was great! Glad you mentioned it a while back, gave me something to laugh my head off at and maybe cry a little.

And now I want to know where the tat is too! You can tell or not.

Missy - probably not a great picture after that film, but hey - that's me ;-)

Dale - I'm glad you liked Happy Endings - it made me laugh and also cry (a lot but that was probably due to my bipolarity also) and check out:

I think you would have laughed and cried anyway Ziggy, perfectly acceptable you bipolar wonder. The film had some very poignant and make you think moments about how fucked up life can be. But then some of it was the funniest stuff I'd seen in a whiel too.

I love the tattoo! The comments over those 2 posts were pretty damned funny as well. Glad you went with the crown and not the whole BK king though, he's creepy! Good job.

mmm, my dear ziggy, my you lead the most interesting life. i'm glad, though, that you took the time to be with yourself and just chill. may you have glowing days ahead :)

Dale, I probably would have laughed and cried anyway - I'm just feeling particularly on edge today. Laughter and tears seem suspiciously similar. But thank you for your comments re. my tattoo! I'm just about to get my second...

J - thank you darling but honestly, it isn't that exciting. Just up and down like a roller coaster! But that's OK! I'm used to it... :-)

You mean you're blogging from a tattoo parlour on the edge somewhere? Daring! :-) I'd like another one too but no concrete thought on of what or where so I'll leave it until a more inspiring moment. Hope you're feeling better in short order. Get a haircut, not a headcut.

And I'm trying hard to fit among your scheme of things
It's safer than a strange land, but I still care for myself
And I don't stand in my own light
Lord, lord, my prayer flies like a word on a wing
My prayer flies like a word on a wing
Does my prayer fit in with your scheme of things?

Zigs to Dale - Laughter and tears seem suspiciously similar.

That says everything, doesn't it, Ziggy of Stardust? And that thin line in between is us. Cross this way over ourselves, cross that way back again. Over your thoughts and words, over your joy and fears, over and again over yourself. And sometimes, you stand on that thin line that is you and want for nothing. No tears, no laughter.

But it's still you. And that thin line is centre. From that thin line is everything and to that, our hopes renew. Walk that thin line up and down, hold out arms, sway this way and that. Stop a moment, stare out wide. Look to this way to laughter. Look that way to tears.

Still you.

There are few things in life more beautiful than knowing we stand in the centre of all our hopes and fears, the magic for change right there in our tiny feet. And when we can, we'll walk where we ought to. I believe that.

Wherever you want to go, Ziggy. Somewhere over the rainbow.
