Wherever I leave my hat...

Last night I caught up with Handsome Lawyer (HL) whom I used to date for a short while before I started seeing The Wanker. It is the first time we have caught up properly for over 3 years, so I felt a bit apprehensive about it to say the least. How was I going to feel about him? How would he feel about me? Would I find him attractive? Would the conversation be OK? etc.

We met at the South Bank and it was a gorgeous evening - really balmy, warm and there people milling about everywhere. We went to have a drink right on the river and then ate at Fish! right next to Southwark Cathedral.

It felt like we were somewhere in the Mediterranean - sitting in my t-shirt outside at 10pm at night and still feeling warm. On the table next to us was Paul wherever I leave my hat, that's my home Young who, as an aside, looks great for his age. Botox perhaps?

After dinner we strolled along the river and I wondered why I let this 6'2 blonde, blue eyed, intelligent, Handsome Lawyer get away.

The question is: was I simply fooled by the romance of the evening/setting? I'm sure all will be revealed with time. It always is.

In other news, I received my mark on my Psychology exam and somehow managed a Distinction. How the hell I simply don't know.

there is *always* a good reason why you let exes go - believe me it doesn't take very long to remember them once you hook up again!

I dunno but could you get me Paul Young's autograph next time ? Didn't Hall and Oats write the tune "Every time you go away" for him? Great break up song back in the day , Hell, he looks good to me!

Congrats on the distinction!

I'm thinking if the HL called you, then he still must be thinking about you, maybe this time it will be different..

A distinction!! Well done!! Do you want to write my papers for me? :-)

Sigh on the one that got away...

I know the reason why I let him go though, Zuze - and that reason is no longer valid ;-)

Bluez - sitting next to Paul Young was rather distracting, due to his good looks and also the fact that I just wanted to ask him where his hat had been left. I'll keep you posted re. HL.

Running - thanks!

Missy - I've had enough of papers thanks! and I'm working on not letting him get away this time...

If only Paul had known you were a man of distinction, he might have offered up his secrets. Congrats.

OMG! I'm so American! I take it that a distinction is good, right? Like honors or something?

I have a hard time understanding you with your big accent and all... BTW, never regret... HL probably wanted you to wonder why you let him go. Planned the whole romantic psycho-seduction for weeks... Or was that on Big Brother? I forget.

The menu from that restaraunt looked ok. Not all kidney pie and haggas.

Ziggy, London's Beloved Style Icon and now Man of Distinction as well as mysterious pole dancer (dear one your title is getting longer by the minute)

As I said earlier :) Congrats on the distinction award--although I knew you would do so well. You just need to have a lot of faith in your intelligence and know whatever you put your mind to you can do.

Your date sounded like something out of a movie with all the "perfect" settings....Perhaps the HL didn't realize what a good thing he had with you it's like that old song "don't know what you've got till it's gone."

But Bravo again on the exam results!

Distinctin! Congrats Ziggy! I knew you could do it!

HL...hmm...he doesn't know what HE let go ;)

Thank you Dale - and why didn't I think to share that with Paul?

Saviour - it is good, but not *quite* like honours. And what an exciting possibility re. psycho seduction. I hope that is what he was doing!

Butchie - I love kidney pie.

K~ what can I say, apart from thanks!

Dabich - thank YOU!!! Hope all is good in your world ;-)

Congrats on the distinction!! The last one I got would have been for Dinstinctly Drunk, so I'd say you're many rungs up the ladder.

I love me some blond blue-eyed intelligent lawyer. I've had a longstanding thing for one myself and if he ever plans a psycho seduction on me, I do believe I'll go out and buy stocks in Victoria Secret.

I hope you'll be happily, psychotically seduced, Ziggy. And then you might perhaps return the favour..?

Congrats on the distinction! As to why? You dare question the fabness of the Zigster? For shame! FOR SHAME!

Oooh! HL sounds dreamy and yummy! You are gonna have us on pins and needles waiting to see if a romance is brewing! More thoughts but perhaps for another day... you know what that means! Sizzlin'!

Besos to a dreamy and *in love maybe?* Zigster!

The bohemian...

Good Girl - psycho seductions by blonde blue-eyed lawyers, I mean - what more could one ask for, huh?? At this stage I'll let him do the seducing though because I'm difficult like that. Good to see you around these here parts again - feathers, sequins and all!

Dan - it's not as good as a High Distinction but I'll make do! :-)

Miz Boho - he is lovely - we'll see where it goes.... who knows!? Thanks for the besos as always...
