D.I.D. aka Split Personality
So I've been here in Perth for a week now, and what with a little bit of work (and I mean a *little*) and many trips to the beach, between catching up with friends and family; I've been considering what it would be like to live here permanently.
The difficulty is, I've lived in London for so long now that it has kind of gotten under my skin. I have such a love/hate relationship with London; but when I come back here, the love bit really comes to the fore.
In equal measures, I now have a love/hate relationship with Perth. This place offers the most amazing lifestyle - good food, great beaches, wonderful weather and relaxed, happy people.
There are negatives to Perth though. It is reported to be the most geographically isolated city in the world, and gee, does it feel it. A lot of people are small minded and have problems with gay people (oops, that's a little difficult for me).
So as always, my trip back to the homeland is always a little confusing. Life, love and the universe all being pondered on the most beautiful white sandy beach imaginable. Hhhhhmmmm.

Sunny Perth or rainy London? Heh.
It rained all day today in Oxford Street land. Bugger. I need some sun.
When you coming home? You still owe me that drink you promised ages ago!
But otherwise you are enjoying yourself right?
i miss you!! come back to london. london has computers where you can blog on a regular basis...=(
maybe you don't have to live in Perth exactly, but maybe Sydney? That way you are still fairly close to your sis and parents and still in a major city.
ZiggyLondon's Beloved Style Icon you have to go back to London, because Perth's Style Icon just doesn't have the same ring to it. ;)
Glad you are well and enjoying the sun.
But we miss you around here.
So get your tan on and then really dazzle them in London. :)
Perth people are small minded? That's crappy! I saw a program here on Perth and it sounded so delighftul it made me want to ditch this crazy idiotic Spain and move. I even tried to convince my husband but then he told me Australia has huge spiders and little ones can cause me to spasm so... no go... and being a San Franciscan tell me people do not like gays and then I seriously cannot go!
It took me a long time to get used to seeing only heterosexual couples here in Spain. I find the lack of homosexuality a detriment to my children's upbringing and need to make $ to take them home to San Francisco more often where they proudly have surrogate gay Uncles! It makes me very proud for my daughter to be aware Uncle A and Uncle F are a couple and to never have wondered why if they are both men. She always accepted it from the getgo... the way things should be!
I am rambling dios mio! Just a boho way of saying I miss you! Have fun and soak up the rays!
Ahhh Zigster. I do miss you...glad you're enjoying the sun and beach tho. Seriously consider if you CAN live there tho. Maybe what Anhoni said would be a viable option. Sidney perhaps? Come home, we miss you!
If you have to contemplate life a sunny beach with great food seems a good place to do it.
I think you should pretend to be a "born-again" straight person and start throwing religious dogma at people.
hey guys...
no photos of me topless I'm afraid.
I'd have to charge ;-)
How much?
Twelvty pence should do it.
