Three Things

1. I feel ambushed by work. Right now it is overtaking my life. I don't live to work, I work to live - but right now, it feels the other way round.

2. I have the autumnal blues. All I can think about is the impending winter. At least it is going to be the last one in London I have to deal with for a while.

3. I miss having time to read all my fellow bloggers' thoughts. It sounds slightly ridiculous, but I've come to enjoy hearing about your lives and wonder what I am missing out on when I don't have the time to read you!

I'm with you on (1) and (3). I want to find a job that will allow me to blogsurf all day long.

Oh, Ziggy, but autumn in London is so deliriously dismal. I recommend another drink. Oh, and #3 doesn't sound ridiculous in the slightest: reading fantastic blogs like yours has had a kind of scarily obsessive, "Being John Malkovich" effect on me. I just want to be inside my favorite bloggers' heads 24-7.

Hang in there. More tea at Claridge's wouldn't hurt (maybe the pocketbook though). I'd at least give that a shot.

aw, ziggy, i hope things lighten up for you. i work to live and hopefully it'll stay tht way for a while. i think that's how life should be.

that's sweet; i often wonder how you're doing over there in london, riding the tube, dealing with the grind.

oddly enough, i don't have the autumnal blues here b/c the weather has been lovely. i'm more of a winter blues person; unless there's a snnowstorm, which is kind of fun sometimes!

I can totally empathise with points 1 and 2... although it's not my last Winter in England.

Fucking work is taking over my life! Going in early and staying late then tinkering on spreadhseets at home is just bad!

I hope you're still going to be blogging when you're not in London any more!

Hear ye, hear ye... stuck in the same rut am I and packing away... still... when time, life, kids, and the hubby allow, which is rarely...

Here's to this rut being gone and things lightening up for you my sweet friend!

Thanks, Running - how was your holiday??

Zuze - doesn't it just. Work SUCKS.

Beth - perhaps we should think of the jobs that would allow that?

Erik - I would quite like to take a lease in your head for a while, but you mentioned that you have a few inhabitants already. Room for one more?

Jason - I'm thinking something bigger than Claridge's. Like a brain transplant. Thanks for the suggestion though - it's a plan in the short term.

J - daily grind is good and proper! You're right about the snow storms though - but they are rare in London, damn it! The one good thing about winter is the fact that I can drink more WHISKEY!

Dan - what is it with work taking over lives???! FYI, I think it's RUDE.

Orange - that's very flattering! And yes, my random tales will continue, I'm sure.

Dale - I'm sure I'm missing out on lots and lots and lots!

Miz Boho - I'm just hanging out for that ligther moment! Besos to you, I know your life is just as frantic.

Dabich - thanks for the hugs - (well I'm assuming it was for me, Zogs!? ha ha) Winter SUCKS.

Don't worry about not having time to read our blogs. We all have busy lives. I'm guilty of that, too! :-)

love,
missy xx

I'm with you on all counts -- especially the first two. Adulthood and changing seasons both can be abysmal, especially here.
