Political Truths

So I went out on my first date for 2007 on Sunday. It’s been a while, so I felt quite nervous to be honest – it’s amazing how I out of practice I felt; given it has only been a few months since my last date.

Sunday's date was 38 years old, quite sexy and a Labour politician. We had a (seemingly) nice afternoon which continued in to the evening. At the end of the evening he said to me that he would message me the next day to arrange another time to meet up. I felt quite excited, which makes a nice change. Despite the fact he waxed so lyrical about Tony Blair that I nearly threw up.

It’s now Thursday and I still haven’t heard from him. I’m definitely voting Tory in the next election. Men suck. And not in a good way.

Ziggy - NEVER trust a labour MAN/WOMAN or BEAST (John Prescott, Blunkett, Ruth Kelly).. they lie and lie. Jesus - if I could go back to 97 and change my vote.

It's just cowardly to say you'll get in touch when you've got no intention of doing it. I'd much rather be let down gently with a 'Well, I've had a lovely time but -'

Um I agree with you. Men suck and not in a good way. Thats why I just gave up about 5 years ago and you know what? Its not a big deal, for me. Not all people are meant to be in a relationship, however, YOU are. You have too much to give and you will find the right person. Consider yourself lucky he didn't call back because he doesn't appreciate you or deserve you. Poser! Move on, he's out there, You just gotta find him.

My dear sweet Ziggy on the other side of the pond~ Sweetie that one isn't worth your precious time. And not all men suck---every so often you can find one that knows what they are doing. ;)
Just take your time, and find someone truly worthy of the greatness of you ;)

Lol. Ah yes, the joys of dating politicos. Did that once myself.

Well, at least he sent an email and didn't leave you hanging :)

that sucks. but here's some encouragement for you: I went on a kind of date about a week ago. didn't go great i didn't think (it seemed like he was annoyed by me!) didn't get a call the next day, didn't expect one, and didn't make one myself. then 8 days later he calls and wants to go out for a drink this week. so ya never know!

Let's hope that this was the first of many, many dates with all sorts of interesting, attractive and intelligent men this year. You deserve it, Zig. Good luck finding men that suck in a good way. I know they are out there somewhere....

Hooray - another reason for me not to vote. It's now been ten years since I did. I suppose it's just about compulsory for a politician to lie, and they are very busy people, which doesn't make for an attractive package.

Make him wait before replying to the e-mail.

Hmph! That sounds suspicious (although it could be argued that I'm suspicious of everything lol). I'm glad he contacted, but certainly keep your eye on him!

I hope you are doing well this week.
